Information - HistoryMirko played professionally for 17 years throughout Australia, Serbia, Germany, Italy, Turkey, Yugoslavia and USA. Mirko arrived in Australia in 1987 and played for Warringah Freshwater, Bonnyrigg White Eagles and APIA Leichhardt National League (current A League). Throughout Mirko's football career he also represented Yugoslavia, Serbia and Australia in indoor soccer (football). In the late 1970's, Mirko represented the Serbian National Team and played alongside Australian Hall of Fame Member, Milan Ivanovic. Mirko played for some of the best football teams in Serbia (ex Yugoslavia) : OFC Belgrade, FC Zemun, FC BSK, FC Cukaricki, FC Rad and FC Novi Sad. After playing in Europe and USA, Mirko moved to Australia in 1987 and played on the highest level in both indoor and outdoor soccer (football). He played alongside and against some of the best players Australia has produced such as Craig Foster, John Kosmina, Laurie McKinna, Robbie Slater, Steve O'Connor, Graham Arnold, Milan Ivanovic, Andy Harper and many more.
